Renowned Star Pat Finn, Recognized For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
American actor Pat Finn, who featured in beloved programs such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has passed away aged 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in Los Angeles, California on Monday following cancer treatment from 2022 onward, as reported by news outlets.
"He considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his relatives said in a message.
They added that he had "embraced life completely - with joy and exuberance".
An Extensive TV Career
His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he played the lead character's sibling.
He was also seen in a recurring role on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a social organizer famous for delegating burdensome jobs to his guests.
During the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of popular shows, such as:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
His most famous role for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
His work in movies encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Beyond the Screen
Beyond his television work, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.
He was involved with a six-member improv team known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn guided, supported, and advised countless students over the years and it would be difficult to find someone who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, fellow actor Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. An excellent dad and person," Kind wrote publicly.
Pat Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, his children, and his family.
